A nice rise in the price of silver

Solid gains

Silver has come up nicely over the last year to the point where at the time of posting it’s in the region of USD 30 or roughly AUD 47-8 per ounce, which is nice.

It looks like it’ll at least hang around this level or perhaps go a bit higher – who really knows, though ?

More Aussie pre decimal sellers?

Hopefully, whatever happens, it’ll bring more coins on to the market – the early dates, for example 1910 and 1915 florins, are becoming harder to find and collectors are settling for lower grades in these and other key dates as a result.

Even so the ‘top ten’ listings aren’t really affected and quality early date coins pretty much remain expensive and generally scarce!

Happy Collecting!
