Update: Photography


I finally retired the Ricoh Caplio – it still works fine, anyway now it’s a Nikon lens (AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G) with a Nikon D5200.

And much more in the way of diffused lighting.

The photo shows a typical original camera shot which is then cropped to retain a light background with hopefully a nicely illuminated model, meaning you should be able to see the painted highlights…

As you can imagine, it’s a very different ball game to snapping silver coins and even though the camera is not the latest model it’s a serious upgrade for me – hopefully I can do my painting justice!
